Friends of the Chandler - Gonzales Pathway
CBWS is working with the "Friends of the Chandler - Gonzales Pathway". The project is a small, long closed trail
corridor that connects Chandler Ave. by Margaret Jenkins Elementary School in Fairfield to Gonzales Avenue and Pemberton Park.
School parents and other neighbourhood activists are pressing the city to re-open the pathway to provide students and families
with a safe off-road connection in the neighbourhood. It's all part of a larger safer routes to school initiative that has
CBWS involved in projects around the region.
See the Margaret Jenkins Safer School Travel report.

CBWS Reports: Case Studies and Best Practices
CBWS gathers information on "best practices", organizes workshops and conducts local
site audits to develop specific recommendations aimed at improving conditions for cycling and walking.
Our "CBWS Reports Page" includes our own projects and contributions from other sources.
Watch for regular additions to our library of reports, papers and presentations.
