CBWS Reports Page
Welcome to CBWS Reports.
Capital Bike and Walk conducts audits to analyze specific sites, transportation corridors and neighbourhoods,
to assess conditions for cycling and walking and develop recommendations for new designs and solutions.
Our objective is to generate ideas and a replicable template that can be adopted by community organizations
and individuals interested in shifting transportation choices to healthier annd sustainable modes like cycling
and walking. Growing participation requires more facilities and better designs to make cycling and walking
safer and more appealing.
Our case studies focus on specific sites in the Capital Region. Several of our recommendations have been
incorporated into new facilities built or planned. See the audit of Lochside at Mount Newton for a completed
project and the Goose counts for recommendations that have been adopted at the planning stage. Numbers of other
audits have also been completed or are in progress that will be updated to the web page in the coming year.
CBWS invites comments on the process and report format to help enhance our audits and improve our reporting model.
CBWS is developing a web accessible tool for public use and assembling presentations for delivery in conferences,
seminars and workshops to help share our expertise.
